John R. Miller d. August 2, 2001
The National ASA Association page: http://nasaa-home.org/taps/taps1.html#01jrm reported that John R. Miller passed away on August 2, 2001. He went peacefully in his sleep at age 65. He had been in poor health for some time. Exact cause of passing is not known.
John was a DF type with the Army Security Agency and was a MSG at Fort Devens in the early 1970's. He went to Augsburg in 1973. He retired as a CSM at Field Station San Antonio in the early 80's and had lived there since retirement.

(CSM) John Miller, his wife, and an Air Force tail gunner from WWII whose nickname (and the only name to which he would answer) was Cowboy. All three are now deceased. Evelyne Miller was killed in a car accident in San Antonio two years after John died from a heart attack. Cowboy also died of a heart attack.
